Alain Lam, born in October 1973, graduated from University of Oxford with a master's degree in Engineering in August 1998. He is Xiaomi's vice president and CFO, and chairman of Airstar Digital Technology.
Alain joined Xiaomi in 2020 as vice president and CFO of Xiaomi Corporation.
Prior to joining Xiaomi, Alain worked at Credit Suisse (Hong Kong) as managing director and head of the Asian Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Investment Banking Division from 2016 to 2020. From 1997 to 2015, he worked at Morgan Stanley in its London, New York, Menlo Park and Hong Kong offices.
